Without realising quite what they’re doing, two rival characters wind up supporting each other to face a common threat. The result is a string of funny and surprising adventures involving a caterpillar whose only interest is eating and whose disgusting gas, unbeknownst to the caterpillar, keeps coming to the rescue in the most perilous situations. The drawing is simple, as is the set that features a forest with just the bare necessities, directing more focus on a story that teaches us the importance of living together – a particularly helpful message for any kid who needs to accept the clumsiness of a younger child.
