Benshi's review :

Filante is an original and modern tale, and young and old viewers alike are sure to enjoy being swept into its fantastical world full of joyful and festive sounds. This animated short film, which is very similar to a music video, serves as the perfect introduction for very young viewers to electronic music. Because that is the common thread running through the adventures of Paulette and Filante, who are soon connected by a lovely friendship. This pair of modern and unique heroines learn a lot in a short amount of time: how to go on adventures, seek the best for their friends, meet new people and, above all, how to grow up.

With her customary inventiveness Marion Jamault serves up a new work in which creativity reigns supreme and the form meshes perfectly with the story, thanks, in particular, to the music of Chamaye, a highly imaginative duo. The sublime sets made with cut paper take our breath away during the heroines' many expeditions and fascinate us with their texture and hues. The nocturnal atmosphere is perfectly rendered, creating a magnificent setting for the little bat’s sparkling shows. So don your best sequins and join them for a beautiful night of wild fun!
