Benshi's review :

Benshi's review of Two Little Birds :

A black bird and a white bird with gigantic yellow and orange beaks peacefully share the same tree until something new arrives and stirs jealousy and rancour. This simple and effective plot is based on the book by the Colombian illustrator known as Dipacho, and directors Alfredo Soderguit and Alejo Schettini (who previously worked together on the animated feature film Anina) use it as a fertile grounding for 20 hilarious episodes in which a Christmas tree, an egg from an unidentified species, an ill-timed cloudburst, a flock of migrating birds and assorted other interloping forces shatter the peace and quiet of our two lead characters, who defend their turf with vigour. Naturally, the competition between them leads to escalations and disasters… The directors have fun mixing 2D and stop-motion animation as they relay these short and absurd stories with a slapstick humour that will ensure entertainment for the whole family.
